BORN IN MICHIGAN.

A BRAND FOR THE WORKING MAN AND WOMAN.

BECAUSE IT WAS CREATED BY THEM.

OUR STORY

Butch and Wes started working together 8 years ago. A casual comment turned into a conversation about hunting.  These conversations turned into discussions about various hunting trips that we had always wanted to go on.  After a few months of talking about hunting we decided to book a Canadian black bear archery hunt. Little did we know that trip was the first of many hunts that we would embark on. One weekend we were trying to plan out some things that we wanted to get accomplished before the upcoming deer season. We constantly found ourselves struggling to find time while balancing work, family, and a passion for hunting. We joked about how easy all of our favorite full time hunters made things look on video.  We kept saying to ourselves “This is how the Working Man does things.”  That saying along with other conversations developed the concept Hunting from the Working Mans perspective. Everything that we see on mainstream television is from the perspective of a person that for the most part earns a full time living hunting and traveling the world. Don’t get us wrong we would love to get there someday. We wanted to show hunting from the perspective of a working man or woman. Our brand was born Working Man BowHunter. We look to highlight the struggles and celebrate the success that we all have as a Working Man BowHunter. Thank you all for joining our journey and sharing your stories as part of the Team.

I grew up in a small Michigan town. Growing up I grew to love being outdoors. What started as a love for camping and playing outside as a kid led me to the Boy Scouts. The Scouts taught me many life lessons as a youngster, but the introduction and exposure to outdoor activities have changed parts of my life. Getting my first knife, shooting my first shotgun, and shooting my first bow have all changed the course of my childhood and shaped how I have grown as an adult. As I left the Scouts I took the money I had raised through popcorn sales and bought my first hunting bow. Thanks to family I was able to have property to go practice shooting and had the ability to start hunting. My passion for hunting was put on hold as I went to college. After college I was able to get back into hunting and my love for the outdoors has been restored.

I am now married with 2 young boys and am very excited to share my love for hunting and the outdoors with them as they grow. We are all excited and very happy to be apart of this brand Working Man BowHunter. I personally can not wait to see where the brand and our adventures take us as we grow and share our story.

BURNS

JIMMY

TILLMAN

I was born and raised in Florida. Growing up I didn't have many friends. I took to the outdoors and spent my days catching salamanders. My best friend in middle school was a naked mole rat that I caught in a field one afternoon after school. His name was Sherman. I was always teased at school as I would sneak Sherman into class in my pocket. I spent most of my teens spying on my childhood crush through the window of the local pet store. Her name was Meg, she was the nicest and cutest gerbal in the store.

Ten years later I moved to Michigan in hopes that I would find people that would accept me. It wasn't until my mid 20's that Sherman died. I was crushed and found myself combing the local corn fields in search of a new best friend but I had no luck.

I was at an all-time low until I received a call from Working Man Bowhunter and Twisted Tines Tv promising  they could get me back on my feet.

Born and raised in a small northern Michigan town, I grew up around a lot of great hunters, but didn't hunt much myself until my 20's. I played football and basketball for as long as I can remember. Sports filled my fall and winter free time along with the landscaping business that I ran all through high school. The memories and lessons learned playing sports are ones that I would never trade. It wasn't until I finished playing college basketball that I really got into bow hunting and found a new love for the outdoors. Immediately I was obsessed, getting in the tree stand any chance I could. Finding time to hunt while working full-time and taking night classes to finish my Mechanical Engineering degree was difficult. The life of a Working Man Bowhunter is never easy. That is why I cherish my time in the woods and with family.
